Founded in 2017, Hanloh began as a pop-up and catering concept rooted in community and flavor. In 2022, we found a permanent home through a restaurant residency inside a unique bookstore in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz. We serve thoughtful, seasonal food inspired by Thai and Southeast Asian traditions—bringing vibrant dishes to a space that celebrates creativity, connection, and care.

“Hanloh” is a common greeting when Thai folks pick up the phone and I recall always shouting “Hanloh!” into the pay phone when I call home. -Chef Lalita Kaewsawang
